Shooting script

After producing our main script we then had to create a shooting script. This is a lot like our original script but it consists of camera shots, camera movements, lighting and how each shot should be.
The shooting script we created had to be very detailed so when it came to doing the filming we knew what we was doing. By creating a shooting script it made it a lot easier to film which enabled us to get shots needed, for the right amount of time etc.

Script

This is a sample of our first script we wrote. We amended it to make it better, along with the amendments we made to the storyboard. This section of the script give you and idea about whats going to happen in the first few seconds of our horror film, Heidi chooses to walk through the forest as it is a quicker way of getting home.

Pitch idea

As a group we had to create a powerpoint which lasted 10 minutes long, it was informing the audience about what our idea for the opening is. It had to include the synopsis of the whole film, an example of our script and storyboard, how our opening linked into the genre of horror and how it used the key codes and conventions.

We also had to include the name of our horror film, we decided on the name 'Revenge of the missing' we choose this name because we thought it created an enigma and will intrigue the audience therefore making them want to watch it.

Our pitch idea when down very well, Mr Cramb seemed to like it a lot, which helped us to move forward with the rest of our script and storyboard, and then to the filming of our horror opening.
